University collects books for Africa

The faculty at Saint Mary’s collected more than 32 boxes of books to be donated to the “Books for Africa” organization. The idea came from Chandu Valluri, who researched organizations that accept academic textbooks. Books were donated from many departments and the library, with some coming from the Computer Science Department at Winona State University. The collection was organized by Melissa Luedtke and Betty Kube. Rhea Fosco and Kyle Romanchuk from the summer conferencing staff helped load the books.
